About the Artist

There is a uniqueness to the connection one has to pottery that's akin to the one we share with nature. The physicality of both the production process as well as the functionality of the medium, creates a relationship to the work that both grounds and excites me.

After my many years traveling, camping throughout North America and Europe, I have developed my body of work as a way of reflecting my experiences.  It embraces where I am and reminds me of where I have been. Using relief carving, and surface manipulation, my work reflects naturally derived patterns and textures, balanced with color palettes that hint to their origins. My body of work is a scrapbook of my experiences that continues to grow and change as I do.

Each series has its own story to tell.
